Torquay store staff become stars of catwalk

Store staff swapped counters for the catwalk to raise money for the Torbay lifeboats.

Hoopers Department Store on Torquay harbourside laid on their annual Autumn/Winter Fashion Collection in aid of the local Royal National Lifeboat Institute.

Almost 100 fashion devotees were treated to some welcoming refreshments before the show began. Most models were drawn from within Hoopers staff but you would have thought they had been strutting the catwalk all their working lives.

Everything, for both men and women, was on display, from casual to formal with even a finale of bedtime attire.

Torbay Lifeboat Fundraiser’s organiser Sue Bryant said: “Hoopers store manager Trudi Knapman and her team have been a joy to work with as we jointly planned this event over recent months.

"Everything went as smooth as silk and the outcome was an amazing £1,300 raised for our local Lifeboat Station.  We would like to thank everyone who bought came and supported us on the night."
