Racing meets live music, classic cars and glamour in a packed June schedule

Style, speed and summer vibes at Newton Abbot Racecourse

Jubilant June brings some great race meetings to Newton Abbot Racecourse, promising action-packed vibrant evenings and stylish summer celebrations.

On Friday 13th June, the excitement shifts to the evening with a lively twilight meeting.

Gates open at 3:35pm, with racing under way from 5:35pm. Arrive early to enjoy a complimentary pint of Tribute ale — available to racegoers arriving within the first hour.

As the sun sets, join the Party in the Paddock, where Devon band The Shrine will deliver a fantastic live performance in the Paddock Suite following the final race at 9pm. To make the evening extra special, book a table in our Paddock Restaurant.

At £79 per person, the package includes admission, a three-course meal, race programme, and a reserved grandstand seat.

On Tuesday 24th June, don’t miss one of the season’s highlights: our fabulous Ladies Evening. This enchanting event is the perfect excuse to dress up, sip Pimm’s and revel in the stylish race day atmosphere. Gates open at 4pm, with the first race just before 6pm.

The evening will sparkle with glamour as we host our popular style competitions, including Best Dressed Lady, Best Hat, and Best Dressed Gent. Amazing prizes are on offer, including a luxurious Shark Cryoglow Blue Light LED Face Mask, a hair and makeup experience with Toni & Guy and some Coach Jewellery. Strike your best pose at our photo booth in the betting hall — you might end up on the big screen and be invited into the parade ring as a finalist.

After the last race, the celebration continues with DJ Hayley Blue in the Paddock Suite — expect an upbeat set perfect for dancing the night away.

Tickets for all race meetings are on sale now online at the website at www.newtonabbotracing.com. Booking in advance is easy!

More than just racing…

On Saturday 7th June, we’re thrilled to host both our Antiques Fair and the Classic Car Show. Inside, you'll find 45 antiques stalls, with up to 20 more outdoors, plus over 70 classic cars — everything from an Austin Healey and Rolls Royce to a rare 1966 Hustler Beach Buggy.

Special guest David FitzGerald (from Spotlight and BBC Radio Devon) will be judging the cars, with a trophy for Best in Show.

Entry is just £1 for adults and free for children. Doors open at 9am, and our café will be serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks—perfect for catching up with friends.

Later in the month, on Saturday 28th June, we welcome back our popular Wellbeing Show. With over 50 stalls offering holistic services and treatments (some available on the day), there's something for everyone. Expect tarot readings, gemstones, and more. We’ll also have 14 free workshops running throughout the day — no booking needed, just join the ones that appeal to you.

The event runs from 10am to 4pm, with the Paddock Suite café catering to all diets. It is £4 entry and children are free.
