Meadfoot Beach in all its glory albeit from a few years ago!
We are indebted to Torquay Museum and its fantastic archives for these fantastic photos and a special trip down memory lane.
Meadfoot is located in the lovely Wellswood area of Torquay. Meadfoot Beach is overlooked by Hesketh Crescent and the now Osborne Hotel.
It was originally called Meadfoot Crescent. In 1861, Charles Darwin stayed at 2 Hesketh Crescent and a few decades later Agatha Christie stayed at the Crescent with her friends, the Lucy family.
