Thousands of runners laced up their trainers at the weekend for the Torbay Half Marathon and 10K – and our photographers were there at the start and finish lines to capture the action.
Among those pounding the pavements were Torquay United manager Paul Wotton and assistant Mike Edwards, who took on the challenge wearing the club’s iconic 1899 number.
Organisers David Hart and Suzi Cumberland were also on hand, alongside United co-chairmen Michael Wescott and Mark Bowes-Cavanagh, to see the Yellow Army represented on the course.
After last year’s cancellation due to bad weather, this year’s race proved more popular than ever, with more than 4,000 people taking part against the stunning backdrop of the English Riviera.
Rowcroft Hospice was the official charity partner, with over 200 runners raising money for the cause – though participants were encouraged to run in aid of whichever charity meant most to them.
Race director Suzi Cumberland said: “We see a huge number of charitable benefits that come off the back of the event.”
So, were you among the crowds? Scroll through our gallery to spot yourself crossing the line, cheering on friends and family, or soaking up the atmosphere of one of Devon’s fastest-growing running events.
