Mid-Devon CC's Cathy Kilburn celebrates her latest victory at Chepstow Racecourse
A break in the South West Cyclo-Cross League programme didn’t stop Mid-Devon CC riders proving their prowess further afield as they warmed up for this weekend’s third round of the National Trophy series at Clanfield in Hampshire.
Veteran Women Cathy Kilburn and Jackie Shute headed for a well-supported joint Welsh and Western League meeting at Chepstow Racecourse.
Cathy Kilburn won the Over-60 race and Shute was third in the Over-50 category.
Eva Fox opted for the Wessex League at Swindon, where she produced one of her best performances to finish second in the Junior Women’s race.
That trio, and several other MDCC riders, will contest the National Trophy round on the South Downs before concentrating on Round Five of the SW League at Escot Park, Exeter, on November 9.
