Torquay United Under-18s are top of the South West Counties Youth League at last after a 4-0 home win over BRS Coaching.
The victory lifted Ryan Dickson's Gulls over long-time leaders Bridgwater United after months of pursuit, and they now lead their Somerset rivals by two points.
Dickson rested several regular starters, but the side still scored twice in each half and ran out winners care of goals by Jayden Gilbert (2), Kai Swann and Brandon Gilbert.
Torquay, the holders, host Bridgwater, the only team to beat them this season, at South Devon College on April 15, in a match which will settle the championship.
United's Under-13s also clinched their regional title with a 5-1 away win over SW Somerset, thanks to goals by Harrison Discombe, Thomas Ross (pen), Will Glanfield and Ben Jolly (2)
Meanwhile, the Pro:Direct Academy/SDC's English Colleges FA Senior Cup Semi-Final against North Shropshire College has been confirmed for SDC's 3G Centre on Wednesday, April 19 (KO 2pm).
