The first-ever SUPERFestival for paddleboarders from all over the UK made a big splash in Torquay's inner harbour at the weekend.

The English Riviera hosted the 2025 SUPERFestival of Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) event across two action-packed days.

More than 250 competitors from across the UK and beyond took to the water in an incredible celebration of paddling, community, and fun.

With over 50 races delivered across a range of formats, from high-speed sprints and technical challenges to youth ‘One Design’ racing and SUP Polo, the festival offered something for every ability level.

The sheltered setting of Torquay Inner Harbour provided perfect racing conditions and with the sunshine breaking through, it created a vibrant atmosphere both on and off the water.

Spectators lined the harbour walls to cheer on the paddlers, enjoy the festival village and soak up the unique buzz of an international-standard SUP event right in the heart of the Bay.

Alongside the competition, the event also raised awareness for drowning prevention through Above Water, ensuring the festival delivered both sporting excellence and a positive community impact.

The success of SUPERFestival is a major stepping stone towards the ICF SUP World Cup: English Riviera 2026, confirming Torbay as one of the UK’s leading destinations for water sports and world-class events.
