It’s a hat trick for the The Bucket and Spade Café in Shaldon - winner of gold in the best café category and two silvers in the best bar and best restaurant categories at the Food Drink Devon Awards.

With spectacular views across the coastline, The Bucket and Spade Café at Coast View Holiday Park is popular with both locals and visitors.

Josh Donald, managing director of Coast View Holiday Park, said: “It’s fantastic that we have won these awards again!

“It’s a difficult time for many businesses with rising costs of living but all of our staff work so hard to deliver a consistently high-quality experience for our customers with a fair priced menu.

“We’re proud of our café, which has one of the best views in the area!”

Devon’s talented food and drink scene was alive at the 11th Food Drink Devon Awards.

More than 330 of the county’s finest food and drink producers, hospitality and catering businesses and speciality retailers celebrated in style at an awards ceremony at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Plymouth.

The ceremony was hosted by Devon-based comedian, author and food lover Tony Hawks.

With the winter season approaching and the rising energy costs, The Bucket and Spade has introduced a new ‘work club’ for those who would like a break from their usual home office.

For £6 per day, customers can use the Bucket and Spade’s wi-fi, enjoy unlimited tea and coffee and parking is free.

Josh Donald said: “It’s a great way to get your people fix for the day and feel part of the local community. Look out for regular special offers on the menu.”
