Two of Torbay’s most celebrated restaurants are joining forces for a unique one-night-only seafood collaboration.
The Brixham Fishermen’s Mission fund-raising event will bring together two very different, yet equally passionate, champions of local seafood.

The Elephant, a Michelin-starred restaurant led by TV celeb chef Simon Hulstone that has proudly retained its star for 20 years, and Pier Point, an award-winning seafront restaurant and bar recognised in the National Fish and Chip Awards and owned by the inspirational and award-winning Lorraine Arnold.
Despite their different settings, both restaurants share the same philosophy: sustainability, quality, and a deep respect for the local fishing communities of England’s Seafood Coast.
Priced at £39.95 per person, the evening on Tuesday November 25 begins with a prosecco & Bays Brewery reception, followed by a sharing platter showcasing a trio of seafood favourites – Cajun Whiting Rillette, Coley Slider, and Tempura Torbay Sole.

The main course, Fillet of Hake with crab hollandaise, curried scraps, coriander oil, spicy rice and mango, champions one of the English Riviera’s most underused yet delicious species. To finish, guests will enjoy a Lemon Sherbet Donut with citrus crème and raspberry sorbet.
All proceeds from the evening go to The Fishermen’s Mission.
Lorraine Arnold said: “Pier Point has always been about celebrating our seafront and supporting our community.
“To collaborate with Simon and The Elephant team is a real honour. We may come from different corners of the dining world – fish and chips to fine dining – but we’re united by the same values: showcasing the best of our local seafood, cooked with care, and supporting the fishermen who make it possible."
Simon Hulstone, Head Chef of The Elephant, added: “Holding a Michelin star for 20 years has been a journey built on the quality of our ingredients and the people behind them.
“Our fishermen are central to that story. Working alongside Pier Point for this event is a chance to not only celebrate great seafood but also to highlight the importance of sustainability and to give something back to the communities we rely on."
Helen Lovell-Smith from The Fishermen’s Mission, said: “Fishing is one of the most dangerous and demanding industries in the UK, and our mission is to ensure that fishers and their families always have someone to turn to in times of need.
“Events like this are about more than just fundraising – they are about recognising the incredible contribution of our coastal communities. The support from Pier Point and The Elephant will make a very real difference."
