Paignton Zoo is looking for plenty of support during half-term when they hope some spooky goings-on will bring lots of punters through the doors

Paignton Zoo is looking for plenty of support during half-term when they hope some spooky goings-on will bring lots of punters through the doors.

Just a few weeks ago owners Wild Planet Trust revealed how they were faced with a financial battle.

They are actively seeking investors to help transform both Paignton and Newquay zoos to secure their futures.

The appeal also went out to the public to keep visiting and Halloween could generate vital revenues.

Families are in for a magical mix of spooky surprises and creative fun  as the zoo becomes Paignton Boo!

From creative crafts to ghostly trails and pumpkin carving, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Drop-in Activities include:

  • Spook School – Children can conjure up their own Witch or Wizard persona, create a spooky spell, and cast it while making a special Halloween wish.

  • Wooden Pumpkin Decorations – Craft a wooden pumpkin to take home or hang proudly on our Halloween Tree.

  • Halloween Mask Making – Colour in and decorate your own Halloween mask to take home.

  • Halloween-Themed Activity Sheets – Hunt for hidden words or colour in your favourite Halloween characters.

  • Pumpkin Carving – Let your creativity shine with our pumpkin carving sessions (£3 per child).

There is also a ‘spine-chilling’ interactive trail, ending with a lively Halloween-themed singing and dancing show and a Scarecrow Competition where visitors are invited to take on the role of judge in a spooktacular Scarecrow Competition.
