Kiki Dee announces Torquay show as she marks 55 years in music

Torbay-based independent promoter Fougou Music has announced that Kiki Dee will perform at the Livermead House Hotel in Torquay on 17 April.

The singer, known for her blue-eyed soul vocals, signed her first recording contract at the age of 16 and became the first female UK artist to sign to Motown’s Tamla Records.

She has recently marked 55 years in the music industry and has worked closely for the past three decades with guitarist and producer Carmelo Luggeri.

Since 1995, the pair have toured the UK and Europe with an acoustic live show. The stripped-back format is designed to create an intimate atmosphere and highlight their musicianship.

Luggeri co-writes and produces the duo’s material. Their latest album, The Long Ride Home, was released in 2022.

The Torquay performance will feature songs and stories from their collaboration, along with tracks from the recent album, selected cover versions and some of Kiki Dee’s best-known hits.

These include Don't Go Breaking My Heart, her duet with Elton John, as well as I Got the Music in Me, Loving & Freeand Amoureuse.

Tickets cost £25 for adults. Further details and booking information are available via the Fougou Music website.
