Torquay's Little Theatre will present Hedda Gabler, a dramatic masterpiece set in Norway in 1890, next week.
The play creates the experiences of the title character, Hedda, the daughter of a general, who is trapped in a marriage and a house that she does not want.
This production is a version of the Ibsen classic by Patrick Marber, which first opened at the National Theatre in 2016.
Director Heidi Pyburn said: “Our rehearsals are going very well, and everyone is working hard. This is a difficult play with compelling characters, brought to life by a talented cast. Come and see Hedda Gabler and discover how the mysterious relationships unfold.”
Hedda runs from Tuesday, May 9, to Saturday, May 13, at The Little Theatre at 7.30pm each night with a matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm. To book tickets, call the TOADS box office on 01803 299330, Tuesday to Friday 10am to midday, or visit www.toadstheatre.co.uk
