Funny business - Brixham firm among UK's top 10 quirky company names
A Torbay company is celebrating after being short-listed in a competition to find the funniest business name in the country. The competition by SME insurance provider Simply Business was launched to celebrate the wit, creativity, and humour of the nation

A Torbay company is celebrating after being short-listed in a competition to find the funniest business name in the country.

The competition by SME insurance provider Simply Business was launched to celebrate the wit, creativity, and humour of the nation’s small business owners.

Up against other quirky names such as Grout of This World, Sweeping Beauty and Eggucation, specialist engineers Leaky Finders was one of ten finalists in the bid to find Britain’s Best Small Business Name for 2023.

A spokesperson for Leaky Finders said: "We were extremely excited to have been nominated for Britain's best small business name!"

Leaky Finders, based in Mount Pleasant Road, Brixham, are heritage steam specialists undertaking all aspects of steam locomotive restoration.

The company were named third in the competition - behind Eggucation on the top spot and It Started With A Stitch in second place.
