Fundraisers pool their efforts

Support for Shoalstone Pool

Supporters of Brixham's Shoalstone Pool are hoping a local pub will bring it some early Christmas cheer.
The port's award-winning Queen's is staging Brixham’s annual charity Beer Festival between December 1 and 3.
And they have made this year's charity the Shoalstone Seawater Pool.
The facility is run totally by volunteers and is in desperate need of funds for essential repairs so that it can continue to operate into the future.
A series of fund-raising campaigns and initiatives have been organised to raise money for the pool, which has taken a battering from storms in recent years.
Last year’s Beer Festival raised a tidy sum of £5,713 for the Last Kiss Foundation, which was a record amount. Shoalstone's partners and organisers say that they would love to break that record this year.
Live music will be part of the festival, which gets under way on December 1 with Still Life.
Shoalstone Pool is a 53-metre sea water swimming pool in a stunning position on Brixham sea front and one of only a few left in the country. It is built into a natural rock pool that has been popular for bathing since Victorian times.
