Three years old and club is very much up and running

Busy times for Up and Running Torbay who have celebrated their third birthday

The club is all about getting active in a social and relaxed environment, providing support and encouragement to all members to run to the best of their ability.
Up and Running aim to help all of their members achieve their individual goals whatever that maybe. For some it is running once a week and completing a local parkrun on a Saturday. For others it is entering a 10k, half marathon or Ultra.
Whatever the distance, the entering and completing is the achievement. Leaving everyone feeling proud of themselves for being able to run their chosen mileage and promoting different races for others to try next time.
This month we have had members entering various events including Haldon 9 miles – Andy Tinkler; Templar Ten (10 miles) – Chris Stolworthy, Rachel Collins, Sue Heywood, Sarah Ryder, Emma Wiles, Glen Hawkins, Ferne Raybould, Becci Dawe, Anita Ley, Lisa Belsten; Bath Half Marathon – David Pearce; Eden Half Marathon- Michael Chivall; Manchester Half Marathon – Rachel Collins, Chris Stolworthy, Neil Abraham, Glen Hawkins; Royal Park Half Marathon London – Helen Brenton; Cardiff Half Marathon – Becci Dawe, Ann Johnson
The club has thanked local Parkruns for providing a lovely environment for members to run each week. This month the club have visited Torbay, Teignmouth, Parke and Haldon
