Torbay Weekly photographer Stephen Coombes took a trip down memory lane and what a sad one it was.
Paignton's Oldway Mansion was once the palatial home of the Singer sewing machine family. Now it stands empty and derelict while its future is up in the air.
Stephen says: "Oldway - now with two small cafes to raise money. I was really happy to get married in Oldway on October 7, 1985 to Debbie. So to see this amazing building being neglected is just so sad to see. I’ve done my best to make it look normal but it is far from it.
My friends had coffee and cakes to help to support this cause. Though it needs big monies to bring it back to its former self, it’s never too late. Let's not forget the Pavilion either.
