The PKF Francis Clark team
It’s all change on the leader board after the Round Three of the Bigwave Torbay Business Games.
Following two exciting and competitive rounds, Torquay Tennis Club was the host venue for the latest round.
The seven teams endured the blistering heat to play seven rounds of mini-tennis, and it was a closely fought battle. Team PKF Francis Clark were the victors, winning all of their games – a good time to play their Joker and gain an extra seven vital points! Three teams tied for second place, and two for third.
Andy Paton, long-standing member of Torquay Tennis Club and the mini-tennis event co-ordinator said: “'Torquay Tennis Club was delighted to host the event after the three-year gap created by the pandemic.
"The indoor courts provided the backdrop to some highly enjoyable and competitive tennis. All the teams worked up a sweat in the challenging conditions provided by the recent heatwave!
"The club is proud to be associated with an event that is raising funds for Torbay Holiday Helpers Network and also hopes that the mini-tennis experience provides a springboard for any novices to now have a go on a bigger tennis court."
Teams are now brushing up on their general knowledge for the final round of the Games where TLH Leisure Resort will be the venue for the Pub Quiz.
PKF Francis Clark (24 points) lead the table with Torbay Leisure Centre (19) second followed by TLH Leisure Resort (18), Wollens (18), Bishop Fleming (17), Torbay Business Forum (15) and Princess Theatre (12).
