Eighteen year-old Cardiff City centre-forward James Crole has become Torquay United's second January loan signing, following the deal which has brought Swindon Town's attacking midfielder Ricky Aguiar to Plainmoor.

The Gulls haven't revealed whether Crole, whose move is subject to international clearance, is available for Saturday's home game against FC Halifax Town.

But the Wales Youth international has joined until the end of the season, while Aguiar is initially here for a month.

Crole, who will be 19 next month, has impressed for Cardiff's Under-21 and Under-23 sides, but he has yet to appear for the Bluebirds at competitive first team level.

He joins his former Bluebirds teammate, midfielder Kieron Evans, who is also on loan at Plainmoor.

"James is a No.9 and he's highly thought of at Cardiff," said United manager Gary Johnson.

"This is subject to international clearance, which we're hoping to get by the weekend."

Meanwhile, United's own midfielder Alex Moyse, who earned his first pro contract last summer, has extended his current loan at Dorchester Town until the end of this season.
