Stolen boat found wrecked in Brixham after Torquay harbour theft

Devon & Cornwall Police are investigating after a stolen boat was found wrecked in Brixham, Torbay. The dinghy was taken from Torquay Harbour in Devon. Authorities urge anyone with information about the boat theft to come forward.

Police are investigating the theft of a rigid inflatable boat and engine from Torquay Harbour.

The incident happened at around 4.30am on Friday, 20 June.

A Honway RIB and Tohatsu engine, with a combined value of around £2,800, were taken.

Both were later recovered in Brixham, but the boat was found to be damaged beyond repair.

Devon and Cornwall Police have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the theft.

A spokesperson said: “We are aware that the image quality is low, but these are the only images available at this time. We hope members of the public may still be able to assist.”
