Alan says: "We didn't win, but we met inspirational people and felt very honoured to be nominated – one of just three businesses in the UK in this category.
"We were nominated because of our unstoppable vision and drive to change the face of disability employment in Torbay and our reluctance to see disability as a barrier.
"At the awards we had speakers from the government and key figures in the field of disability employment who all talked about the challenges faced by employers and future disabled employees.
"What was clear was that we have some great practice taking place across the country but that all businesses need to follow those showing exemplary practice and help create a more equal society."
