Roselands Primary School, part of the Riviera Education Trust, is celebrating the success of its latest Ofsted inspection.
It has highlighted significant improvements across all areas of the school. The ungraded (Section 8) inspection, conducted February 11 and 12, recognised the school's ongoing dedication to excellence, with inspectors noting that the school's work may have improved significantly since the previous inspection.
Head of School Danny Brown expressed his delight at the findings and said: "We are extremely proud of our recent OFSTED report where we achieved the highest possible standard. We are particularly proud of the recognition for our inclusive approach to all children including those with SEN, our ambitious curriculum, our character development and giving our children the very best of opportunities."
The Ofsted report commended Roselands for its broad and ambitious curriculum, which inspires pupils and fosters a deep understanding of key subjects. Inspectors praised the exemplary behaviour and positive attitudes of pupils, noting that they demonstrate independence, resilience, collaboration, and ambition - values that underpin the school's ethos. The school’s extra-curricular activities, emphasis on character development, and commitment to inclusivity were also highlighted as particular strengths.
Pupils excel in reading, writing, and mathematics, with inspectors recognising the highly effective teaching of phonics, early years development, and mathematical fluency. The provision for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) was described as exceptional, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed.
Stewart Biddles, CEO of Riviera Education Trust, shared his pride in the school’s achievements and said: "The outcome of this inspection reflects the unwavering commitment of our staff and the high standards we uphold across all our schools. We are thrilled that Roselands Primary School has been recognised for its remarkable progress, and we look forward to continuing to provide outstanding education to all our pupils."
Roselands success aligns with the overall excellence of the Riviera Education Trust, as all schools within the trust have been rated ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted. This achievement underscores the trust’s dedication to providing high-quality education and fostering an enriching learning experience for all students.
With this strong foundation in place, Roselands says it eagerly anticipates its next graded inspection, confident in its continued commitment to educational excellence.
