Man dies following collision in Torquay

Devon and Cornwall Police have issued an update following an incident that occurred this weekend.

A man aged in his 80s has died in hospital after a car collided with a tree in Torquay on Sunday, 10 November.

Emergency services were called to the A379 Teignmouth Road at around 12.55pm. The incident involved a red Nissan Note, and its driver was taken to Derriford Hospital with injuries believed at the time to be life-changing.

Police have since been notified that the man died in hospital on Monday, 11 November.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has relevant information or dashcam footage, is asked to contact police via our website here or by calling 101, quoting log 340 of 10 November.
