Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a hair salon in Plymouth where thieves smashed their way into the premises and stole professional equipment.

Officers say the break-in happened at Select Hair on Pemros Road in Plymouth during the early hours of last Thursday (5 March).

The offenders are believed to have smashed the glass panel in the salon’s front door to gain entry sometime between 1am and 5am.

Once inside, they stole several items of valuable hairdressing equipment, including three Faszin hairdryers, a BaByliss Pro hair straightener and six Olivia Garden hairbrushes.

Police are now asking anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area during the early morning hours to come forward.

Officers are particularly keen to hear from motorists who were travelling through Pemros Road at around 5am, as dashcam footage could help identify those responsible.

Anyone with information or relevant footage is asked to contact police via the force website or by calling 101, quoting crime reference 50260055690.
