Billy Walton Band - Credit: Exeter Phoenix
Exeter music fans will get a taste of New Jersey blues-rock when the Billy Walton Band performs at the Exeter Phoenix on Sunday, 29 March.
Billy Walton, longtime guitarist with the legendary Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, is bringing his band to the city for the first time.
Known for high-energy live shows and the powerful vocals of Destinee Monroe, the group has built a dedicated following across the United States and Europe.
Walton has shared the stage with rock icons including Bruce Springsteen, Steven Tyler, Little Steven, and Gary US Bonds. He earned his reputation as a guitar master performing at venues like the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey - a venue closely associated with Springsteen and the Jukes’ main songwriter Steve Van Zandt.

The current lineup features Walton on lead guitar, William Paris on bass, a full horn section, Hammond organ, and Monroe on lead vocals and second guitar.
Their sound combines old-school blues and rock with a distinctive New Jersey flair, and the band has been praised as “a must-see act” by the Great British Blues Festival.
The Exeter Phoenix performance offers a rare chance for local audiences to experience the intensity and energy of a band that has toured internationally and recorded at Jon Bon Jovi Studios.
Fans can expect a night of blues-infused rock that channels decades of experience from the legendary Asbury Park music scene.
