A musical adaptation of The Prince of Egypt is coming to Torquay this November.

Unleashed Theatre Company presents: The Prince of Egypt: The Musical, at The Royal Lyceum Theatre from Wednesday, November 25, to Saturday, November 28.

The Prince of Egypt musical is a stage adaptation of “One of the most epic stories of all time…”

It retells the biblical story of Moses, a Hebrew child raised as an Egyptian prince alongside his brother Ramses.

After enjoying a privileged life, he eventually discovers the truth about his origins and the oppression of his people, causing him to leave Egypt to find his purpose.

Moses is then called by God to return and free the Hebrews, which brings him into conflict with his brother Ramses, now Pharoah.

At its heart, the musical is a story of brotherhood, liberation, destiny and faith, combining dramatic storytelling with songs by Stephen Schwartz.

The soundtrack includes favourites like “Deliver Us” and “When you Believe”.

The theatre company has advised guests with accessibility issues to purchase tickets at the rear of the auditorium.

Along with this, it has also been raised that The Royal Lyceum is an alcohol-free theatre.

However, there is a ‘So-Bar’ which will sell non-alcoholic beers, ciders and cocktails as well as hot drinks, sweets, snacks and ice cream.

Guests can also enjoy a discounted meal due to the theatre company’s partnership with their Abbey Road neighbours.

Meat 59 will be offering a 10% discount on meals on the night of you booking.
