The Nuffield Health Senior Leadership Team

The Torbay Half Marathon and 10k has new sponsors from the world of business.

Organisers Taurus Events has announced Nuffield Health Plymouth and Exeter Hospitals as the official Health and Wellbeing Sponsor for the event taking place on Sunday September 21.

Taurus say the sponsorship reflects Nuffield’s ongoing support for community events that promote physical activity, overall wellbeing, and long-term health.

Taurus says: “With a strong clinical presence across the South West, Nuffield Health Plymouth and Exeter Hospitals are proud to champion events that align with their comprehensive approach to care.”

As part of the sponsorship, the Nuffield Health team will be delivering the official event warm-up, helping participants prepare both mentally and physically for the challenge ahead. Participants will also benefit from expert-led training advice, injury prevention tips, and wellbeing support in the run-up to race day.

Both hospitals offer a wide range of private health services

Suzi Cumberland, Managing Director of Taurus Events said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Nuffield Health to the Torbay Half Marathon & 10K.

“Their clinical expertise and focus on whole-person wellbeing make them a perfect partner for the event. We’re proud to have their support throughout the training journey and on race day itself.”

Patricia Warwick, Hospital Director at Nuffield Health Exeter and Plymouth Hospitals, said: “We’re so excited to be involved in the Torbay Half Marathon & 10K. It’s a fantastic opportunity to promote physical and mental wellbeing across the community, and we’re proud to support participants of all levels in preparing safely for this event.”
