Cross-Country Racing in Redruth for Torbay Amateur Athletics Club

Nine Junior and Adult Athletes from Torbay Athletic Club competed in the sixth and final Westward League Cross Country Race at Redruth School.

The weather stayed dry, but recent heavy rain made the course very muddy and tough going for all runners. Standout individual performances on the day were Annalise Little and Ella Richards, who both came second in their U15 Girls and U17 Women’s races. Leon Snell also put in a great performance, finishing third in his U15 Boys race.

Results on the day were as follows: SM – 8,100m – 48 Kevin Lofts 36.26, 64 Anthony Raine 39.36. U15B – 4,000m – 3 Leon Snell 14.23, 6 Henry Gardiner 14.37.  SW – 4,900m – 57 Hayley Ratcliff 27.22. U17W – 4,900m – 2 Ella Richards 21.49. U15G – 4,000m – 2 Annalise Little 16.28, 11 Beatrice Bateman 21.10. U13G – 3,000m - 7 Neve Blacker 13.12.

The end of season awards ceremony followed in the school hall where the club proudly won the following trophies:
U15B Individual Runner Up – Leon Snell
U15G Individual Runner Up - Annalise Little
U17W Individual Runner Up – Scarlett Muscott
U17W Individual Third Place– Ella Richards
U17W Team Third Place – Scarlett Muscott, Ella Richards and Paige Quinn
FV55 Individual Runner Up - Hayley Ratcliff
Trevor Honeychurch Trophy (Awarded to Best Torbay AAC Male Athlete) – Kevin Lofts
