Sports clubs and organisations in Torbay and South Devon are being the chance find out how they can unlock crucial funding

Sports clubs and organisations in Torbay and South Devon are being the chance find out how they can unlock crucial funding.

Active Devon is collaborating with Sport Torbay and Iridescent Ideas CID to deliver a bespoke workshop on Funding and Welfare.

The workshop will provide advice and guidance on securing funding and investment for community groups and social enterprises.

Also highlighted will be some current funding opportunities and priorities with key funders such as Sport England. Income generation strategies, social investment, crowdfunding, covering core costs and other issues will also be covered.

There will be a chance to learn more about Active Devon's Welfare support work in Devon and opportunities to gain advice, guidance and support for safeguarding, welfare and work to give all children and adults safe and enjoyable experiences in sport and activity.

This event will also be an opportunity network with other organisations and connect with Active Devon colleagues, who will be on hand to answer your questions and discuss projects.

The session is open to anyone who provides physical activity opportunities within Torbay and South Devon including sports clubs, individuals, groups, charities and other community organisations.

It is being held on Wednesday January 21 from 6pm to 9pm at Torquay Athletic Rugby Club and their seafront Recreation Ground clubhouse.

The workshop is free to attend, but booking is essential. There will be tea/coffee provided and a buffet halfway through the evening.
