It was a very successful and consistent week for Tri Club member Beth Neal, who in the final race of the very competitive Exeter 5K series, set her fastest time of 20mins 52secs (94th) out of 192. At the Torbay Velopark, Beth then set a PB on the course with the same time.

There was more success in the very popular Haytor Heller six-ish mile race, put on so well by Teignbridge Trotters, with good conditions in place this year.

The course is challenging, with several steep ascents and descents and is generally run across rugged, open moorland (apart from two sections through woodland, firstly below Hound Tor and secondly below Haytor) and includes a stream crossing.

First back from the Tri Club, despite an early fall, was V50 Jerry Hocking  in 56mins 53secs (63rd). Next was V55 Jo Loten 1hr 19mins 09secs (199th). V60 Brenda Finney, in her first Heller, finished in 1hr 24mins 42secs (227th) out of 250.

The Coltswold Lake 62 event took place at the Coltswold water park in Wiltshire, the event which includes a triathlon, duathlon and aquabike.

We had one member in each event, and how well they did! Lewis Cholerton took part in the triathlon, which is a 1500m swim-40k bike-10k run. Lewis made the top 10 in an impressive time of 2hrs 27mins 39secs (10th) out of 107.

V60 Wendy Urban took part in the duathlon which is a 4.5k run-40k bike-6k run. Wendy finished 4th overall and first lady in a quick time of 2hrs 12mins 00secs out of 15.

V50 Gary Brenton continued his good form with another strong performance in the Aqua bike, which is a 1500m swim and 40k bike. Gary finished 8th overall in 1hr 49mins 24secs out of 15.
