The Cotswold 113 took place in very warm conditions, so much so the lake temperature was deemed too warm for wetsuits, but that didn't stop a very determined bunch of Torbay Tri Club members.

The 113k, or 70.3 miles, consists of a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike and a half marathon. Under the circumstances with the weather being so warm, the times were very impressive.

First back in super first time of 4hrs 42mins 11secs was Steven Waters (swim 35mins 34secs, bike 2hrs 28mins 15secs, run 1hr 33mins 26secs) 35th. Then came Mark Colombini in 4hrs 51mins 08secs (swim 41mins 29secs, bike 2hrs 22mins 32secs, run 1hr 42mins 44secs) 61st, Lewis Cholerton 4hrs 54mins 30secs (swim 35mins 31secs, bike 2hrs 29mins 11secs, run 1hrs 45mins 54secs) 68th, Paul Whitehead 5hrs 00mins 0secs (swim 43mins 55secs, bike 2hrs 38mins 02secs, run 1hrs 34mins 12secs) 82nd.

First lady back was Katie Potter in 5hrs 18mins 14secs ( swim 35mins 22secs, bike 2hrs 45mins 18secs, run 1hr 52mins 31secs) 132nd, and doing his first 113  was Bradley 'lizardman' Price, who finished in 5hrs 30mins 09secs (swim 55mins 43secs, bike 2hrs 50mins 01secs, run 1hr 39mins 49secs) 163rd, just ahead of Nigel Fenn 5hrs 32mins 37secs (swim 43mins 54secs, bike 2hrs 54mins 15secs, run 1hr 50mins 18secs) 171st.

Another excellent debut came from Matt Giles, who completed the course in 5hrs 45mins 30secs (swim 44mins 00secs, bike 3hrs 07mins 54secs, run 1hr 44mins 28secs) 216th and the impressive debuts continued Vivek Kulkarni in 6hrs 48mibs 01secs (swim 52mins 56secs, bike 3hrs 17mins 32secs, run 2hrs 22mins 27secs) 387th out of 465.
