After the success of a composed 3-0 win at Buckland Athletic, the test ramps up a few notches for Torquay United with home pre-season games against Newport County, Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City.
First on the menu is a visit from Newport on Saturday and the Exiles are under new management with former Manchester United coach David Hughes taking the helm at Rodney Parade in May.
Newport finished last season just above the League Two drop-zone and will naturally look to build for an improved campaign this time around.

United then welcome Plymouth Argyle on Wednesday, July 23 and a familiar foe in the summer schedule. Like Newport, Argyle arrive under new leadership with Tom Cleverley moving to Home Park after a season in charge at Watford.
The Pilgrims fought valiantly in their attempt to avoid relegation from the Sky Bet Championship and came within just one game of achieving a miracle escape.
Despite the ultimate disappointment of relegation, Cleverley has already brought a freshness to his new team and the Greens will undoubtedly be a side to watch in Sky Bet League One for the season ahead.
It is then another Devon derby on Friday, July 25, when Exeter City make the short trip to Plainmoor. The Grecians finished a comfortable mid-table in Sky Bet League One and there will be an old friend in the dug-out, with former United boss and legendary left-back Kevin Nicholson assistant manager to Gary Caldwell at City.
