Another weekend of fine results for Torbay Triathlon Club

Two Torbay Tri Club members made the trip down to Blackpool South near Dartmouth to take part in the sprint triathlon and it was a very successful day.

The sprint distance is over a 750m swim/20k bike/5 k run. First back was SM Ben Flower in 1hr 16mins 19secs (12mins 49secs swim/ 39mins 40secs bike/ 21mins 48secs run), taking third place on the podium overall . 

What a year Jonathan Cowling is having with  PBs all round so far, and this was no different, finishing in 1hr 29mins 05secs (15mins 28secs swim/ 46mins 00secs bike / 23mins 15secs run) 10th overall out of 111. Jonathan was also over 10 minutes quicker than two years ago, and took a podium finish for the first time, 1st Vet 40 

Gary and Debbie Burman travelled for the Weymouth Triathlon, taking part in the standard distance, which is 1500m swim/40k bike/10k run, and it was another good day all round with Gary finishing 7th in 2hrs 19mins 57secs (24mins 35secs swim / 1hr 07mins 22secs bike / 42mins 07secs run). 

Debbie, in her first standard event, finished in 2hr 58mins 11secs (34mins 51secs swim / 1hr 29mins 17secs bike / 44mins 07secs). Debbie finished 59th and 8th lady overall, an excellent debut! 102 took part.
