Backing for Buckland Girls in trophy pursuit

Vertu Exeter championing local football talent

Vertu Volvo Exeter is sponsoring Buckland Athletic Girls Under-16s as they aim for the league title, furthering its commitment to supporting grassroots sport and the local community. The dealership is the team’s main shirt sponsor as they compete at the top level of the Devon Girls Football League.

The squad of 18 talented players is currently leading Division One and has also reached the semi-finals of the County Cup. With several players on county and national pathways, the team is proving to be a breeding ground for future footballing talent.

Ben Williamson, Service Manager at Vertu Volvo Exeter and also the team’s coach, expressed his pride in the partnership: “As a business and as individuals, we are deeply invested in our local community. Supporting Buckland Athletic Girls Under-16s not only helps provide the team with essential resources but also highlights the importance of encouraging young athletes to reach their potential. These girls are incredibly dedicated, and it’s fantastic to see them thriving both in the league and in cup competitions.”
