Torquay to host watersports spectacular in May

The thrill of watersports in Torbay will once again take pride of place in the summer of 2025 and an early appetiser comes from the best waterski talent arriving in our Riviera over the weekend of May 24 & 25.

UK Waterski Racing has announced its long-awaited return to Torquay, one of the UK’s most iconic waterski racing venues, for Rounds 2 and 3 of the UK Waterski Racing Championships and the first round of the World Team Selection Process on May 24th and 25th.

For the first time in over seven years, waterski racing is making a comeback to the stunning English Riviera, where competitors will battle it out across two action-packed days.

Spectators can also enjoy live commentary all weekend from a team of professional sports commentators, bringing expert insights and excitement to every race.

As the fastest standing watersport in the world, spectators can expect to see elite athletes reaching thrilling speeds, pushing their limits on the water.

The best place to catch all the action will be from Haldon Pier and Beacon Quay Car Park, offering prime viewing points as racers take on the challenging conditions of Torquay’s coastline. With an electric atmosphere, this event is set to be a highlight of the 2025 UK racing season.

UK Waterski Racing is the organisation promoting and organising waterski racing events across the UK. With a focus on speed, safety, skill, and adrenaline, the sport brings together elite competitors and passionate fans for exhilarating race weekends.
