Ben Seymour and Ollie Tomlinson sign for Bath City

Bath City have signed Torquay United duo Ben Seymour and Ollie Tomlinson in one-month loan deals that will expire on December 21.

It will be a familiar return for Seymour, who spent time on loan at Twerton Park in 2022. The sprightly striker signed for the Gulls from Hampton & Richmond in the summer, scoring once in his 13 appearances for United so far.

Former Plymouth Argyle defender Tomlinson has found first-team opportunities limited at Plainmoor this season and both will be hoping to make a strong impression in the busy pre-Christmas spell.

United manager Paul Wotton told the club website: “They are going there for a month to play football and get some much-needed match fitness.

Bath have endured a tricky start to their National League South campaign and currently sit just two places above the relegation zone, prompting the club to part company with long-serving manager Jerry Gill.

Goalkeeping coach Lee Kendall was placed in interim charge and immediately guided the Romans to a 3-3 draw with Maidstone. Bath have moved to strengthen their ranks with the arrival of Seymour and Tomlinson, who will provide some extra bite in defence and attack.
