Katie Giles at the Lobster Lollop in Padstow
Torbay Tri Club enjoy some Cornwall challenges
It was a family affair down in Padstow as Katie Giles and Matt Giles were joined by their two young daughters at the Lobster Lollop.
Continuing their fine running year, the couple both returned home from their Cornish adventures with personal best times. Katie went the long way to the finish to cross the 10-mile finish line in a snappy time of 1.32.09, while Matt was on buggy pushing duty and produced an excellent 10k time of 40.22 for fifth place overall.
Continuing his marathon training, Jon Pressling stayed closer to home with the Starcross Shuffle. Given the choice of how many loops to complete of the 10.6k out and back course along the stunning Exe Estuary, Jon opted for the 'over' half marathon distance and was first home in 1.25.11, taking over 30s seconds off his winning time from last year.
