Torquay United sign Bournemouth youngster
Torquay United have signed attacking right-back Finn Tonks on loan from Premier League club AFC Bournemouth.
Tonks, 19, is well known to United boss Paul Wotton having spent time on loan with his former club, Truro City, last season. The teenager has agreed a six-month stay with the Gulls.
He told the club website: “It’s a great opportunity for me coming down to Torquay, it’s a big club with a good history, so it was a no-brainer when it came up.
“I’m excited to get started. National League South is a very good standard, and different to what I’m used to, but I’m ready to step up to the challenge.
“I’m a very tenacious, attacking and energetic player. I like to get up and down, get stuck in, and work very hard.”
“I just want to get the most out of it I can and try and get to the top of the table – that’s what we’re going for.”
