Gemma shines in Sunset Summer Half

Torbay athlete Gemma Radcliffe took part in The Sunset Summer Half 2024 organised by Purple Gecko Events, a half-marathon from Perranporth beach to near Crantock and back.

The route incorporates a 1.5mile run along the sand before heading up on to the Coastpath, a technical but runnable path heading through Holywell Bay in to sand dunes. Retracing the steps and finishing through a second set of sand dunes before a beach finish. A fabulous route and a fast field of runners. Official time 2hrs 51mins.

Rebecca Niles completed the Exe Estuary 50km, another fantastic event with Winding Paths - if you've never completed one of Brian's races, go and enter one!

It was special one for Rebecca, as it was the same route as her first marathon two years ago. This was the furthest she had ever run, and she was the third female in a time of 4:51:33.
