Gulls re-sign defender Ed Palmer

Ed Palmer is back at Plainmoor, 13 years after leaving the club as a young defender.

Palmer, 32, came through the Torquay United youth system in the days of Paul Buckle and Geoff Harrop but with first-team opportunities limited, he moved on to learn his trade with the likes of Tiverton, Taunton and Weymouth.

Palmer played for new United boss Paul Wotton at Truro City and has developed into an outstanding centre-back in the National League South. He has signed a one-year deal with the Gulls.
