Young defender arrives from Peterborough

Sam Dreyer is the latest in a growing line of new recruits at Torquay United.

The 20 year-old centre-back earned rave reviews in the heart of the Hampton & Richmond defence last season, making 16 appearances for the club in a loan spell from Peterborough United.

There is already a family connection to the Gulls, with Sam’s dad John spending time on loan at Plainmoor in the 1985/85 campaign.

Dreyer Junior began his career with Stevenage and has also featured for Biggleswade, Hendon and Bedford. He has signed a two-year contract with United.
