Gulls set to release 14 players

Torquay United have announced their retained list for the 2024/25 season and it is a ruthless cull of the squad.

Following the signing of Jay Foulston on Monday, the Gulls currently have just three players signed up for the new campaign. Defender Austen Booth is already under contract and youngster Finley Craske has agreed a new deal, while Brad Ash, Dean Moxey and Ollie Tomlinson have been offered new terms.

In total, United are releasing 14 players, including club stalwart Asa Hall and big names like Kevin Dawson, Mark Halstead, Tom Lapslie and Jack Stobbs.

It does mean the decks are very much cleared for new manager Paul Wotton to put his stamp on what will be a brand new Torquay United team.
