Craig crowned Community Captain

Superstar volunteer Craig Binnie has been chosen as Torquay United Community Sports Trust’s Community Captain to recognise his outstanding commitment and contribution to the local community.

Collecting his award from Torquay United Academy Manager Robbie Herrera, Craig was understandably delighted with the award and it is fully deserved for a volunteer who brings incredible enthusiasm and dedication to the Torbay football scene.

TUCST said: “Craig has been recognised as part of the Premier League’s More than A Game Campaign, which is a shining light on the people making a positive difference in communities across England and Wales, thanks to Premier League investment. 

“Craig has been heavily involved with our Girls Football & Disability Football Programmes for many years, both of which take place on a daily basis across various locations in Torbay. As of 2023, Craig has also supported our delivery in a partner Primary School, where he has developed his people skills greatly and has supported all of the pupils and teachers throughout the school day in different areas. 

“TUCST is very proud to have Craig on board supporting our weekly delivery and making a positive impact on a number of people across all ages. Keep smashing it Craig!”
