Happy birthday to Revolution Skate

Revolution Skate is approaching their 10-year Anniversary in June and this wonderful enterprise has been running Roller Skate Discos almost every week over the past decade.

Revolution Skate is great fun for all the family, with music and coaches all on hand to enhance the atmosphere and experience for skaters.

“In the winter months, we run sessions weekly (depending on hall bookings) currently at Torbay Leisure Centre on Saturday afternoons and in the summer months we move outdoors to the Velopark on Friday evenings,” said Emma Pering from Revolution Skate.

“We hire skates from size 6 junior up to adults 11 and have a fantastic team to help people get started, as well providing ongoing tips and advice.

“We have an awesome live DJ, who is also the boss - Mitch Knight, and his great mix of tunes really adds to the atmosphere!

“I have been marshalling with them for nine-and-a-half years and it is great to see people come in having never skated before and by the end of the session, they are skating! Many people come back week after week, and we get people of all ages coming along. Just recently, we hit almost 380 skaters at one session.”
