Youth Cup Final to be staged at Plainmoor

Torquay United U18s will take centre stage at Plainmoor on Saturday, April 27 for the South-West Counties League Cup Final, with a midday kick-off.

The young Gulls will take on Bridgwater U18s in the final, which could be part of a hat-trick of silverware for United at U18 level, as they pursue the league crown and the Gary Else Memorial Trophy.

Bristow’s Bench will be open for the game and after the dramas of first-team senior football this season, a fantastic opportunity to cheer on the next generation of United talent.

Tickets are available at £6 for General Admission, £3 for current Season-Ticket holders and £1 for U12s.

Torquay United Women are facing an uphill task to steer away from relegation in Division One South-West of the Women’s National League.

The Gulls are three points from safety with three games remaining after a heartbreaking 3-2 loss to Maidenhead on Sunday. Goals from Kate McKane and a 25-yard stunner from Tee Kaptein had given United a 2-1 lead at Coach Road but Maidenhead fought back to snatch victory in the second half.

United travel to Bournemouth on April 14 before finishing the season with home games against Portishead and Swindon Town.
