Torbay Tri Club runners compete in Exeter and Lanzarote

Exeter's Fast Friday 10k certainly lived up to its name as runners from Torbay Tri Club got their Easter weekend off to a crackin' start with some egg-cellent times.

Fresh from duathlon success the previous weekend, Donald Brooks recorded a superb PB of 33.24 for sixth place overall from nearly 300 finishers. Not far behind, Jason Hurford continued his strong marathon training with a speedy 35.11, followed home by Jon Parkinson in 38.49 and Cathy Parkinson in 47.28, winning her age group.

Gary Burman (19.01) and Debbie Burman (22.48) made it a winning start to their Lanzarote holidays by taking the men's and women's titles at the Sun Run 5k, with Gary also taking the course record.

The hilly and windy course meant it wasn't all fun in the sun but the scenery was certainly a change from the usual Parkruns back home.
