From Rome to Home

Torbay athlete Alby Walters from the Riviera Racers Running Club is taking on an epic European challenge in support of inclusive charity PHAB Torbay.

Alby will be running from Rome to Home (Torbay) in April 2024, a journey of circa 1300 miles or the equivalent of 50 marathons in 30 days to raise funds and awareness for the Riviera Racers nominated charity for 2024 - https://phabtorbay.co.uk/

PHAB Torbay stands as an inclusive club that warmly embraces young people with disabilities, providing them with a welcoming and inclusive environment to connect, grow, and thrive. Located in Barton, this organization convenes regularly, twice a week, offering a wide array of activities and opportunities for social interaction. The aim is to empower young individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives and participate in enjoyable experiences.

Alby has a history of these challenges, having run from Paris to Paignton in May 2022, where he raised valuable funds for Torbay Stroke Support. As well as welcoming donations, there are a number of amazing sponsorship options available, all of which will contribute to the work of PHAB Torbay.
