Brixham Cricket Club gearing up for the summer
It might not feel like it under grey skies and with named storms rattling through the alphabet, but the summer is not far away, and that means a return to those lovely lazy days enjoying local cricket.
Torbay teams are all dusting off the bat and pads, unfurling the nets for practise sessions, and gathering the vital volunteers that make it all possible.
Brixham Cricket Club has been a busy place in the past two years, with the men’s team earning promotion through the Devon pyramid, the launch of a ladies team and the youth development programme thriving.
It all adds up to increased activities behind the scenes and the club is calling out for people to join the Brixham CC family. If you can donate just a few hours a week with anything from cutting the grass to brewing the kettle, visit the Brixham CC website and Facebook page for details.
