Triathlon success in the Bay

The first round of Torbay Tri Club's inaugural Parkrun series saw 25 members create a sea of orange racing around Torbay Velopark. Over the next 12 months the series will visit different local Parkruns with winners crowned at the end of the year.
After the first event the series leaders are Andrew Chapell and Kate Baldock.
Picturesque and punishing, Helen Chapell took on the fearsome Endurance Life South Devon half marathon. Starting and finishing in Beesands, Helen took an age group win in 2.47.32
Chris Martin took on the Pagan Trails Half Marathon. Based in Chagford in the north-eastern corner of the moor, the route took runners on a challenging journey of over 14 miles past stone circles and pagan sites. Chris successfully completed the course in 2.48.06
Dan Hallam took park in the Haldon Night 10k and finished in 58.50, top five in his age group.
