Dan Martin is part of an uncomfortably large group of Torquay United players desperate to find a run of good health to show his true worth to the team.

There is a pace and sharpness to his work from left-back, and a fit Martin would benefit any team in this league. Hopefully, the Gulls are turning the injury corner and the immediate focus for Martin and his team-mates is an improvement in away form.

“We know our away form isn’t where we want it to be but we don’t go into these games negatively. We’ve got put a run together, keep the momentum, especially at home, but we can do it away as well.

“Only time will tell but I believe we’ve got enough in the squad to put a run together and put pressure on the sides above us.”
