TORQUAY United and Yeovil Town will meet twice in the space of 12 days at Plainmoor after the two clubs were drawn together in the Second Round Proper of the Isuzu FA Trophy. United and National League South leaders Yeovil, manager Gary Johnson’s old club, are already scheduled to meet here in a key league match next Tuesday night. But now they will also face each other, again at Plainmoor, on Saturday, November 18.
From a financial point of view, it is the best possible draw for both clubs – and one of the ties of the
round. There will also be £3,750 in prizemoney at stake.
Other ties involving Westcountry clubs include Welling Utd v Taunton Town, Hungerford Town v Truro City, Dover Athletic v Weymouth, Bath City v Beaconsfield Town and Weston-super-Mare v Cray Wanderers.
